Hello! 👋
Hello, I’m Stuart Wilson.
I’m a Creative Director who helps people and teams make sense of complexity. Over the past 15 years I’ve worked across digital design, copywriting, brand strategy, and creative leadership, helping organisations turn difficult problems into clear ideas that people can actually act on. My clients have included global brands such as Nike, Audi, Microsoft, Shell and New Balance, and my career has been shaped by one consistent focus. Bringing clarity to complicated situations.
My work sits where strategy and creativity meet. I build messaging systems, shape tone of voice, design campaign platforms, and guide founders, marketing leaders and creative teams through moments where direction matters. I’ve led teams within agencies including AKQA, JWT London, McCann, Havas and Grey, and across those environments I developed a reputation for calm thinking under pressure and a disciplined approach to creative problem solving, contributing to a 66% pitch win rate.
Alongside my creative background, I work natively with AI as part of my daily process. I began integrating generative AI into my workflow in late 2022 and have used it consistently since then as a thinking partner across research, strategy development, concept exploration and writing. Over the past four years I’ve worked extensively with OpenAI’s ChatGPT, and more recently expanded my workflow to include Claude for deeper reasoning and long-form analysis. In visual ideation I have transitioned from Midjourney to newer generative imaging tools such as Nano Banana, allowing me to explore concepts and visual systems more rapidly during early creative development. For me, AI is not a novelty or shortcut. It is an extension of the creative process that sharpens judgement, accelerates exploration and opens new ways to interrogate complex problems. It challenges me to be an exceptional curator.
My approach is straightforward. Structured thinking, clear language and human understanding. I value precision over noise and insight over jargon. The goal is always to find the signal that unlocks everything else, then shape the work around it.
Outside of work I’m a father to two teenagers and a lifelong England supporter. I also founded Football Mind Coach, a project inspired by my son’s academy journey and my belief that the psychological side of football is trainable. It brings together performance psychology, coaching insight and real-world experience, the same themes that underpin my approach to creative leadership. If you’re working through a complex challenge and need clarity, direction or simply another experienced perspective, I’m always open to a conversation.
