Holiday Inn needed to differentiate itself as a family-friendly hotel, aiming to create an emotional connection with parents, especially mothers, by alleviating the common worries and awkward moments that come with travelling with children. The goal was to communicate a welcoming and understanding approach that reassures families, allowing parents to feel relaxed and at ease during their stay.

Travelling with children often brings a sense of unease for parents, as kids’ unpredictable behaviours can lead to moments of embarrassment or stress. By emphasising Holiday Inn's welcoming and empathetic environment, the brand could position itself as the hotel that genuinely “gets” families, providing the warmth and understanding needed to make family travel effortless and enjoyable.

SOLUTION

The creative campaign “You’re Welcome” was developed to showcase Holiday Inn’s unique hospitality for families, focusing on everyday moments that parents can relate to—moments when children might misbehave or act unpredictably. Through relatable, reassuring messages, the campaign highlighted that no matter what happens, Holiday Inn will warmly welcome families just as they are. This promise of easy-going, family-centered service reassures parents, allowing them to relax and enjoy their time together without worry.
