The challenge was to attract talent by creating a compelling, human-centered experience that would make Shell’s innovations relatable and appealing, inspiring candidates to explore career opportunities.
INSIGHT
Potential candidates are drawn to companies that demonstrate real-world impact and creative problem-solving. By focusing on the innovative and often unexpected ways Shell contributes to global challenges (like using bubbles to reduce drilling noise and protect marine life), Shell could connect with candidates on an emotional level, highlighting the meaningful and human side of its work.
SOLUTION
The “A-Z of Shell Innovations” experience was created as an interactive, dynamic platform where candidates could discover the diverse innovations Shell leads across different fields. By clicking on each letter, users explore a story, animation, or interactive experience tailored to the innovation, bringing each topic to life in a memorable way. Candidates could dive deeper into content, learn more about related job roles, and navigate through stories alphabetically. Each visited letter remained highlighted, encouraging full exploration. This design transformed Shell’s innovations into an accessible, immersive journey, enhancing Shell’s employer value proposition while connecting potential candidates with its innovative spirit.
